The Unusual idol...

Yova, the first effiminate gay ever graced a premiere singing competition on Philippine television, singing Whitney's Why Does It Hurt So Bad.

Yova did a stellar performance, everybody loved his voice, sullen to say its a shame that some people cannot accept his gender, especially in a country like ours where so much discrimination for his kind exist.

Well some people also think he has a chance in this so called quest for fame, a competitive encounter between his fellow entrants and himself.

I addressed Yova as a He because it is a fact that he must accept even though he feels the opposite.

Too bad for Nicolas Cage, this time the movie he was in was rated so badly, tsk tsk tsk.. here is one of the many film reviews who underated the movie The wicker man.

When attempting what is often deemed the most unnecessary of cinematic projects, the remake, a filmmaker can adopt a nearly identical plot but still generate an inferior product. Such is the case with Neil LaBute and The Wicker Man. LaBute isn't a hack director. He chooses his projects carefully and has an impressive resume that lists a group of smart, challenging pictures, but nowhere has he gone more wrong than in his misguided attempt to modernize Anthony Shaffer's 1973 screenplay. Despite retaining significant chunks of Shaffer's dialogue to go along with the basic story structure, LaBute has transformed the eerie, disturbing psychological thriller into an unintentional comedy. At times, The Wicker Man is hilariously bad. When this isn't the result of LaBute's ill-advised "enhancements" to the original tale, it's caused by absurd new lines or Nicolas Cage's bumbling attempts to step into Edward Woodward's shoes.

A single quote if its intentions are not delivered concretely can spark a misapprehension between the muslims.

Pope Benedict XVI's speech includes a historic Christian commentary on holy war and forced conversion, the 79-year-old pontiff quoted from a 14th-century Byzantine emperor, Manuel II Paleologos.

"The emperor comes to speak about the issue of jihad, holy war," the pope said. "He said, I quote, 'Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.' "

In my opinion... any Muslim will surely misunderstand the quote because if you put yourself in a their shoes your pride as a Muslim will surely be bruised, but what the Holy Father implies by citing those sensitive words according to Rev. Federico Lombardi, said the pope was not giving an interpretation of Islam as "something violent," although he said the religion contains both violent and nonviolent strains.

Benedict did not touch directly on the current controversy over Islamic extremism, although it is an issue he follows with concern. Last year in Cologne, Germany, he urged Islamic leaders to take responsibility for their communities and teach their young to abhor violence.

Last Sunday Pope Benedict XVI said he was "deeply sorry" for the reaction to comments he made last week when he quoted from a 14th-century emperor regarding Muslims.

"These in fact were quotations from a medieval text, which do not in any way express my personal thought," the pope said in his regular Sunday blessing, the Angelus.

Now the question remain... will Vatican be safe after the afforsaid conflict..... We cannot be 100% sure...

Monster House...

Columbia Pitures together with Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg and animated by Sony Pictures brings you this Movie animation about a house that is alive....

"Digital animation of people is supposed to be really difficult; this film made it look effortless. Unlike most animated films, the camera angles weren't static; the illusion of reality was heightened by a sense that there was a camera on-set with carefully planned pans and tracking shots." --dmcginnis86

From toy story many animation movies have come to pass... this time, produced by the most intriguing and well known directors/rpoducers of all time Steven Spielberg. Haven't really seen this movie yet... but I've heard rumors that the animation.. was really awesome..

'Crocodile Hunter' was recently killed by a Sting Ray

SYDNEY, Australia (CNN) -- Steve Irwin, the Australian TV presenter known as the "Crocodile Hunter," has died after being stung in a marine accident off Australia's north coast.

Australian media reports say Irwin was diving in waters off Port Douglas, north of Cairns, when the incident happened on Monday morning.

Irwin, 44 was killed by a stingray barb that went through his chest, according to Cairns police sources. Irwin was filming an underwater documentary at the time.

Ambulance officers confirmed they attended a reef fatality Monday morning off Port Douglas, according to Australian media.

Queensland Police Services also confirmed Irwin's death and said his family had been notified. Irwin was director of the Australian Zoo in Queensland.

He is survived by his American-born wife Terri and their two children, Bindi Sue, born 1998, and Robert (Bob), born December 2003.

Irwin became a popular figure on Australian and international television through Irwin's close handling of wildlife, most notably the capture and relocation of crocodiles.

Irwin's enthusiastic approach to nature conservation and the environment won him a global following. He was known for his exuberance and use of the catch phrase "Crikey!"

But his image suffered a setback in January 2004 when he held his then 1-month-old baby Bob while feeding a crocodile at his Australian zoo. (Full story)

In a statement released to Australian media, Foreign Minister Alexander Downer expressed his sorrow and said that he was fond of Irwin and was very appreciative of all the work he had done in promoting Australia overseas.

In 2003, Irwin spoke to the Australian Broadcasting Corp.'s Australian Story television program about how he was perceived in his home country.

"When I see what's happened all over the world, they're looking at me as this very popular, wildlife warrior Australian bloke," he said, the ABC reported.

"And yet back here in my own country, some people find me a little bit embarrassing. "You know, there's this... they kind of cringe, you know, 'cause I'm coming out with 'Crikey' and 'Look at this beauty'."

We have lost a great animal conservationist and a great husband and father to his family, but the thing is that he died by doing the thing he wants which is to show the world that everylittle speci of animals of all sizes plays a valuable role in the environment.
